Description
Acacia saligna 'Springtime Cascade', commonly referred to as the Golden-Wreath Wattle, is a low-growing groundcover native to Western Australia. Its trailing, evergreen foliage forms a lush carpet, reaching a height of around 30 cm and spreading up to 3 metres, making it an excellent choice for groundcover in native garden landscapes around Perth. This hardy plant is well-suited to both full sun and part shade and thrives in a range of soil types, from heavy clay to light sandy soils.
During Early Spring (Djilba) through Late Spring (Kambarang), 'Springtime Cascade' bursts into vibrant yellow flowers, creating a beautiful seasonal display that brightens the landscape. Once fully established, it is drought-hardy, requiring minimal water and making it a low-maintenance option for Perth’s climate. As a perennial, it offers year-round coverage, and it is non-toxic, making it safe for both humans and pets.
