Description

The "Slow Bolt" cultivar of Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) offers gardeners a prolonged harvest window, being known for its reduced tendency to bolt. This annual herb presents aromatic leaves widely used in culinary delights and, when it does flower during the warm season, produces charming blooms that can embellish any garden space. The cultivar's edibility, combined with its fragrance, makes it a garden favourite.

Well-suited for planting in the ground, pots, or vege/herb gardens, the "Slow Bolt" thrives in well-draining soil. When choosing in-ground planting in sandy areas, introducing a quality soil conditioner will promote optimal growth. Preferring ample sunlight, it can also tolerate a bit of shade. To encourage healthy, lush growth, feeding with a foliage fertiliser is recommended, while avoiding potassium-rich options that might hasten bolting. Harvesting can start roughly 50 days after planting, and maintaining regular collection of leaves not only offers fresh produce but also further deters the plant from flowering prematurely.
