Description

The Acacia saligna var. prostrata, commonly known as the Golden-Wreath Wattle, brings a vibrant splash of yellow to any garden with its eye-catching springtime blooms. As a groundcover variant of its larger shrub cousin, it's perfect for adding a touch of Australia's Western landscape to your outdoor space. Its cascading foliage and abundant flowers make it a standout feature during Kambarang (late spring), creating a natural golden wreath in your garden.

Thriving in full sun to part shade, the Golden-Wreath Wattle is well-suited for planting in the ground where it can bask in the warmth of the Bunuru (late summer) sun. It's tolerant of a range of soils but will benefit from a soil conditioner in poor, sandy conditions to truly flourish. Fertilising with a low-phosphorus native blend in Djilba (early spring) will encourage healthy growth. Pruning isn't typically necessary, but if desired, it should be done after flowering to maintain shape and promote denser growth for the next season.
