Description
Dichondra repens 'Emerald Falls' is a lush, low-growing groundcover that forms a dense mat of green kidney-shaped leaves, making it ideal for filling spaces between pavers, as a lawn alternative, or as a soft cover for garden beds. Its cascading habit also makes it a great choice for pots and hanging baskets, where it spills over the edges beautifully. This evergreen variety is highly adaptable to Perth’s climate, thriving in well-drained soil and tolerating light foot traffic.
For best results, plant 'Emerald Falls' in full sun to part shade and water moderately during the establishment phase. Once established, it requires minimal water and is relatively low-maintenance. Feeding with a slow-release fertiliser in early spring (Djilba) can encourage healthy, dense growth. This hardy, versatile plant is suitable for both garden beds and pots, providing year-round greenery with minimal effort.
