Description
"Pacific Reef", a hybrid cultivar of Brachyscome formosa 'Pilliga Posy' (Swan River Daisy), proudly boasts brilliant bright pink flowers, making it an eye-catching addition to any garden. Native to Western Australia, this perennial stands out with its vibrant colour palette and offers a continuous burst of colour throughout its blooming season. Versatile by nature, "Pacific Reef" serves beautifully as a border plant, container inclusion, or as a lively ground cover.
When planting "Pacific Reef" in the ground, it's recommended to enrich poor, sandy soils with organic compost for the best results. Ideally, it should be placed in a spot that gets full sun to partial shade and needs consistent watering, though less so during Makuru (Winter). Encourage its vibrant blossoms by applying a balanced, slow-release fertiliser come Djilba (Late Winter to Early Spring). After its flowering phase, a gentle prune will help maintain its form and vigour for subsequent blooming periods.
