Description

Citrus x aurantifolia "Sublime", a dwarf cultivar of the West Indian Lime, blends the ornamental and culinary allure of its larger counterparts in a compact form. As a delightful cross between Makrut Lime and Citron, this petite tree produces small, intensely tart fruits, highly sought after for culinary delights. Fragrant white flowers adorn the plant from Djilba to Kambarang (late winter to spring), elevating its aesthetic appeal.

"Sublime" thrives in sunny locales and can be grown both in-ground and in pots. For those with sandy soils, introducing a quality soil conditioner ensures a nutrient-rich base for this lime variety. During Kambarang to Djeran (spring to autumn), maintaining regular watering is essential. A citrus-specific fertiliser applied in Birak (summer) enhances fruit yield. Once the harvesting period, which varies but usually falls within a few weeks, concludes, a light prune encourages new growth and maintains its compact shape.
