Ctenanthe setosa 'Grey Star', commonly known as the Never-Never Plant, is a striking tropical evergreen native to Brazil. This cultivar is renowned for its large, lance-shaped leaves adorned with silvery-grey hues and prominent dark green veins, while the undersides display a rich purple shade, adding a vibrant contrast. The plant's foliage exhibits nyctinasty, folding up at night and unfurling during the day, which adds dynamic movement to indoor spaces. 'Grey Star' typically reaches heights of 60 to 90 cm and spreads about 60 cm, making it an excellent choice for indoor pots or shaded garden beds in Perth's climate.
