Description
Hoya 'Nong Nooch' is a captivating evergreen climber, celebrated for its large, light green leaves adorned with distinct venation and ruffled edges, reaching up to 17 cm in length and 7.5 cm in width. This vigorous grower produces cream-yellow flowers with rich burgundy tips, each approximately 8 mm across, forming umbels of up to 22 blooms. The flowers emit a pleasant fragrance and can last up to 10 days, adding a delightful sensory experience to your garden or indoor space.
In Perth's climate, Hoya 'Nong Nooch' thrives in medium to bright indirect light, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor cultivation. Plant it in a well-draining, open potting mix to prevent waterlogging, and reduce watering during Makuru (winter) when the plant's growth slows. During the growing seasons, apply half-strength doses of fertiliser to support healthy development. This low-maintenance plant is best suited to warm temperatures between 15–35°C, aligning well with Perth's conditions. Each specimen is unique, with variations in size, colour, and shape depending on the season.
