Bok Choi
Botanical Name: Brassica rapa var. chinensis
Popular for Asian dishes. Quick and easy growing annual, prefers cool weather, and tolerates light frost. Pak Choi and Bok Choi are basically the same plant, but Bok Choi has a white stem, and Pak Choi has a green stem. Bok choi is a bigger growing plant resulting in higher yield.
This specific variety is also commonly known as Tatsoi.

Sow direct where they are to grow, shallowly and thinly. Firm down and keep moist. Thin to 30cm (12") apart. Likes a warm sunny position and well drained soil. |

Important Note | These seeds may be treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL), do not eat the seeds or feed them to animals. Fungicide treatment is an AQIS requirement for certain varieties of seeds. It does not affect your crops or harm insects such as bees. If your packet has been treated it will be well marked with a warning and the seeds will be dyed a distinct colour. |
