Grow your own delicious fruit at home with these Passionfruit purple seeds! A native to South America, these evergreen perennial vines can grow over 5 meters long, bearing attractive flowers followed by egg shaped purple fruit. The fruit has juicy orange pulp with a delicious tangy and sweet flavour.
How To Grow |
Sow direct into warm soil (20º C plus) or in punnets for early sowing. Choose a sunny final position. How Sow 2-3 seeds in a group, 5mm (1/4in) deep and 50cm (20in) apart, later thinning to the strongest seedlings. Keep moist. Seedlings emerge in 14-21 days. Provide a strong structure for the climbing vine. Leave it to climb in its first year, then pinch out the growing tip to encourage side shoots. Feed regularly and keep soil well watered and mulched. |
