Botanical Name: Lactuca sativa
Tender non-hearting variety with yellow leaves. Creates great contrast with greens and reds. Good source of Vitamin A and C.
How To Grow |
Sow a few seeds in each clump, 5mm (1/4”) deep. Cover with a fine layer of seed raising mix or soil and water gently. Space the clumps about 20cm (8”) apart. Keep moist. Thin to strongest seedlings. Make successive sowings at fortnightly intervals. Feed with liquid fertiliser every 10-14 days. Water often as lettuce has shallow roots. Seedlings emerge 6-10 days. |
