Curio repens, commonly known as Blue Chalksticks, is an evergreen succulent native to South Africa. This plant features fleshy, cylindrical blue-grey leaves that form dense, low-growing mats, reaching heights of 30 to 60 cm and spreading 60 to 90 cm wide. Its striking foliage adds a unique texture and colour to gardens, making it a popular choice for ground covers, borders, and rockeries. In Perth's climate, Blue Chalksticks thrives in full sun to part shade, preferring well-drained soils. It is drought-tolerant once established, making it suitable for water-wise gardens.
